The Meridian Parks and Recreation Department’s mission is to enhance the community’s quality of life by providing innovatively designed parks, connected pathways, and diverse recreational opportunities for all citizens.
Meridian City is looking forward to a grand fireworks display in Storey Park to celebrate Independence Day! The park will be open to families for picnics and fireworks viewing. Food trucks will be onsite at 4:00 pm for snacks and tasty local cuisine.
Thanks to Meridian Speedway for partnering with the City of Meridian once again to bring this celebration to the people of Meridian. The fireworks display will be set-off from the back (east side) of the Speedway at dusk, at approximately 10:20 pm.

A few things to note:
- The Bark Park will close a 1/2 hour before dark to secure the necessary fireworks safety zone.
- No personal fireworks are allowed in the park.
- No glass containers are allowed in the park.
- Roads in the park will also be closed to accommodate the fireworks safety zone, please use caution.
- The limited parking within Storey Park is reserved for ADA. There will be a drop-off zone off Franklin Road.

- Please be respectful of the neighbors and businesses in the area. Do not block driveways and take all trash with you.
